======================================================LOOKING AHEAD

September 7 - The September meeting of the BLCO will be at the usual time and place. (The usual time and place is 2:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church, 1480 Zettler Road, Columbus.) A short business meeting will be followed by a Show Meeting. This is a very important meeting. Think about the times on September 26, 27 and 28 when you will be able to help with the show and what you are willing and able to do, in order to set up a schedule. We also hope to get the goodie bags filled at the meeting on September 7..
September 14 and September 21 - IFoLG Show meetings at usual time and place
September 26-28, 2008 - IFoLG Show will be at the Columbus Airport Marriott, 1375
North Cassidy Avenue, Columbus, OH. Volunteers are needed all three days of the Show.
October 5, 2008 - The October meeting of the BLCO will be at the usual time and place.

November 2, 2008 - The November meeting of the BLCO will be at the usual time and place
December 6, 2008 - Time and place of the annual Holliday party meeting will announced later. Page 1
There was no regular Guild Meeting in August. However there were Show Meetings on August 17 and 24. If you would like a copy of either of those Show meetings, please ask when you attend the Guild meeting on September 7th.
All of the Show Committees have been working hard to get things set up for the Show. Several people have volunteered to come on Thursday evening, September 25 to get things set up in the Competition Room. Now we need to know when everyone can help on September 26, 27 and 28, in order to make out a schedule. Do you have family members, friends and relatives who are willing to donate some time. We hope to have enough volunteers so the work shifts will be only 2 hours in length. Most of us will be working more than one shift, but not for hours at a time.
We will need help at the registration tables, runners to take competition items to the competition rooms, help with checking things in at the raffle tables, people to sell raffle tickets, help in the Hospitality Room, runners to hand out certificates at the program after the banquet, runners to hand out items at the raffle, etc.
Times have been extended. You can still book hotel rooms for the Show until September 12th. We are still a few room nights short of our goal. You can also still make banquet reservations if you have not already done that.
To everyone who has committed to one or more room nights: “Thank You.” If you have not made a hotel reservation, please consider supporting the Show by booking a room at the beautiful Columbus Airport Marriott to be in the “thick of things.” to enjoy the mini demonstrations, swap meet, extra visiting time, etc. Driving home at midnight and coming back at 8:00 AM can be a drag. Walking down the hall and falling into bed can be a luxury worth buying. If you like to swim, a dip in the pool is nice too.
Respectfully Submitted
Geraldene Pittenger
