MINUTES OF THE MARCH 2008 BLCO
MEETING
The
meeting opened with Tom Putinsky showing several
unusual tools he has and other items he has adapted to use as tools. He showed
how he uses these things for leather crafting work.
We had the regular show and tell session, which is always interesting and
helpful
.
Allan Scheiderer, President, opened the business part
of the March meeting, on March 2nd with fourteen members and one
guest present. The minutes of the February meeting were accepted as published.
Treasurer David Scheiderer gave the Treasurer’s
Report which was accepted as read..
Old Business: The Simon Kenton University of Scouting was discussed. They now
have information so they can contact any of the following members of our Guild,
to make plans for our participation in this event next year: Mark, Allan, Fred
and Geraldene.
Several of our members are planning to attend the “Spring Into
Action” show on April 25, 26 and 27 in
Most of our Show Planning Business is done at our Show Meetings. However, a
great deal of the time of this meeting was taken up with discussions about our
2008 IFoLG Show.
Tom Putinsky asked about the Website for our 2008
IFoLG Show. It should be up and running in a few days.
Maney and Bobbie Medina, former members, were present
and rejoined the Guild. They offered to help with the Show.
Carol Martin moved that we do away with the Show Committees and all work
together to get things done. Don seconded the motion.
Discussion followed. It is evident that there are things which should have been
done which have not been done. We need to make lists of things and do them. We
talked about the various committees. What needs to be done? Who will volunteer?
Robin agreed to do the signage for the Show. Robin said we need to identify
jobs, have a time line, directions, etc.
Maney
The motion to disband the committees at this time was voted down.

Vickie
suggested that we save the committees until our next Show Meeting, and in the
meantime identify the committees and list their jobs. This passed.

The next regular meeting will be on April 6th and the next Show

Allan brought his airbrush and requested help with it. Some members helped with
